im not religious but halloween is not a day to the devil. halloween (all hallows eve) marks the evening before the christian feast of all saints' day on november first. in the christian calendar, major holy days often began with a vigil the night before (like christmas eve). october 31 became the holy eve preceding the feast day. AND during the middle ages in britain and ireland, poor people and children would go door to door on Hallowtide (October 31–November 2) to pray for the dead relatives of a household in exchange for "soul cakes”. just like halloween. no hate to yall christians but i feel as if yall need to do more research if yall are going to say something is bad cause its very hypocritical to say that we shouldnt celebrate a holiday because it celebrates the “devil” but its actually linked to yalls religious beliefs

wait isn’t every holiday pagan. and pagans are evil. so why not dress up?? just bc people do evil and use halloween as an excuse to do evil things doesn’t mean the holiday itself is bad. especially if we still celebrating thanksgiving, christmas etc.

most people say it’s just getting candy and dressing up and that’s truly what most people call celebrating halloween which is fine and not really bad i know but as followers of God we are told to not be of this world although we live here yk like we’re set apart and we’re told not to conform to the patterns of this world and everyone has their own convictions but what the bible says should go even if maybe there’s more than one meaning or interpretations to Gods word
