Usually when we would be getting rid of the older stuff we'd see if parents shopping would want like any of the rings or any of the older toppers. It's hard getting through the seasons with new designs and new stuff from the books being promoted

They really need to learn to take their complaints on any policies to the CEO and not somebody just doing her job 😭. I hate waste too and I wish they changed policies to allow to give to shelters. But unfortunately we live in a world where CEOs hoard and innocent staff like you get blamed for policies that aren’t your own. 😩

companies that have a policy to throw items away rather than donate or give for free drive me crazy the trash is no different than the other choices and giving items a use means less in the landfills the company wouldn't make money off the item anyway ugh it drives me insane how greedy and wasteful the world is I know its not OPs fault it's the company

while your explanation is 100% understandable, the atrocious amount of unnecessary waste this country does is so shameful, NOT YOU PERSONALLY, because as you stated you have to follow policy, businesses in general. I despise seeing perfectly good/useful things being thrown into a landfill instead of utilized. is there a way for you personally to ask your management if you can post the unsold items on your local buy nothing fb page before tossing ? sometimes we need to TRY to change policy, it won't always work, but also won't hurt to try, for the betterment of our home/Earth.
