@todaynews800: Replacing Netanyahu and changing Israel’s approach to Palestinians are two different questions. We should stop assuming that answering the first automatically answers the second. After the election exit polls, Gadi Eisenkot pledged to form a “Zionist government,” emphasizing military service for all and a change of leadership. He wasn’t explicitly accusing Netanyahu of being insufficiently Zionist. His argument concerned the kind of government he wanted to build. But the language still leaves me asking: what would actually change for Palestinians? A different prime minister, a different coalition, and a more polished public message mean little without concrete changes in policy. Where are the commitments on civilian protection, Palestinian rights, humanitarian access, and accountability? Those are the standards I want applied to whoever governs next. Opposing Netanyahu does not automatically make a politician a champion of peace. That has to be demonstrated through decisions, not inferred from an election rivalry. I understand why people want Netanyahu gone. But I’m not handing his potential replacement a blank check. Show us what changes beyond the name on the office door. #fyp #breakingnews #israel #election #dailynews528
