Hospice nurse here. It won’t be weeks. Maybe a couple days. Sounds like the transition of his body shutting down. Praying for your hearts during this hard time. Make sure to say everything you want now because probably by tomorrow night, he may not be conscious anymore then will pass when he is ready. 💔

I'm a hospice volunteer. Guess what I'm not going to do? Tell a family what I think they "need". Marcel does not need hospice to finish his journey. He does not need to be in the hospital. The body knows how to die! They do not need to bring in a crowd of new faces, chaos, and resources. It's not necessary. Hugs, girl. You guys have been such an inspiration to us all.

Maybe everyone should stop suggesting a hospice he had clearly made a decision to stay at home with his family and I’m sure he’s getting everything he needs at home too!! Thinking of you all ❤️

i lost my dad to cancer when i was 8. he passed in our house around us. my mom was the strongest woman i knew. she was always there for us kids through it all after his passing. you are so strong girl i wish you the best in the rest of your life with your children

he needs hospice!! his organs are shutting down, and hoodie needs to explain to your what's going on right now and prepare you from him transitioning to actively passing. i'm not sending this to you to hurt you but you need to know that with all that pain , he cannot be thinking clearly. he appears delirious because of that pain. hospice will give your children a chance to tell him Goodbye, whereas without you knowing when he's gonna pass, that could happen at any moment and they will never get that moment. i'll keep you in my prayers taylor

His body is shutting down, that’s why the yellowing and worsening retention and extreme sleep. I know no one can out a date and time but you’re looking at days to weeks. I say weeks because he is such a fighter. He will eventually wake up less and less and his breathing will start to change and then you will know he’s starting to actively transition. You’ve been an incredible wife to an incredible husband. He knows that. His last thoughts will be of you and the kids. Keep talking to him.
