Honestly, I'm still struggling to believe all these stories about rejected marriage proposals. Sometimes, I wonder if some of them are actually staged or just for publicity. Because how do you spend months or even years dating someone without having a clear understanding of whether she's genuinely interested in settling down with you? How do you get to the point of proposing marriage without first having meaningful conversations about your future together? Marriage shouldn't come as a surprise to someone you've been building a relationship with. Before proposing, there should have been discussions about commitment, family, expectations and the future. A proposal should simply be the beautiful confirmation of a decision two people have already discussed and are willing to make together, not a gamble where one person is hoping the other will say yes.
