Bush, 44, told PEOPLE about her relationships with Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz. The three co-hosted the podcast Drama Queens from 2021 through 2024. Bush’s memoir, And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress, is out now. “They’re some of the longest relationships of my life,” Bush said. She said no matter what anyone is going through, “we wait for each other.” She said the bond reaches the whole group of women from the show. In the memoir, Bush writes that Burton, 44, warned her against dating Chad Michael Murray, whom she later married and divorced. Bush says it caused distance between them. In the years since, the women grew closer again and teamed up on a One Tree Hill reboot. Bush says there is no update on that project. Bush also calls her relationship with Lenz, 45, “complicated” during the show’s days. She writes they saw the world from opposite points of view. At the time, Lenz was deeply involved in a Christian group she has since called a “cult.” Bush writes that they “cared about each other,” and that they later talked about their beliefs. On Call Her Daddy in 2024, Lenz said she “wasn’t equipped to get too close to Bush.” She also said she loves Burton and hopes to sort out “some bizarre misunderstandings.” Burton left Drama Queens in July 2024.
