I honestly appreciate Hytale's compromise on this mechanic. They just give you a % slider of how *much* of your inventory you feel is fair to lose, set to 50% by default. I usually set it to like 20% so that, I still lose stuff, but it doesn't feel like I completely wasted my time gathering whatever materials

I do both because sometimes you want the thrill and excitement of possibly losing everything. But at the same time, it's nice to have a cool chill world where your progress isn't destroyed and you don't have to worry about remaking your stuff all the time. if that makes me crazy , then so be it 😂

I play with cheats on, keep inventory on, and I mostly play on peaceful and turn on easy mode when I need it and I have a world over 800 days and I’m loving it

I’m so directionally challenged in Minecraft - I didn’t know the lodestones were a thing for the longest time so I was a keep inventory warrior but now I can find my way home [happy]

one time I literally crashed out so hard I had an autistic meltdown after losing a full inventory of mining stuff. it stressed me out so bad I went into seizures. i struggle to even go mining again. I'm more of a builder, farmer but I still get anxious if I have to go too far from home 🫠

for me keep inventory is not cheating xc it's very difficult to keep playing when you die a lot fork random shit especially with how big the caves are. plus creepy greifing is exhausting 😮💨
