@sindymf: WHERE DOES BODY FAT ACTUALLY GO? When you lose body fat, does it turn into sweat? Heat? Or simply disappear? The answer might surprise you! 🧬 Most of the mass of lost body fat actually leaves your body through your lungs as carbon dioxide (CO₂)! Here's what happens inside your body: 🔹 Stored fat breaks down into fatty acids and glycerol. 🔹 Fatty acids travel to tissues where they can be used for energy. 🔹 Cells metabolize fatty acids, producing CO₂ and water. 🔹 CO₂ leaves when you breathe out, while water can leave through urine, sweat, and breath. During complete fat oxidation, approximately 84% of the original fat mass becomes CO₂ and 16% becomes water. #FatMetabolism #HumanBiology #AnatomyAndPhysiology #MedicalEducation #LearnOnTikTok
