that is not the real meaning of the bible verse, if that is the case, Jesus christ blood was no enough to clean all that repente from sin, purgatory is the Catholic church doctrine has nothing to do with christ and he's word.

Question Why do we go to purgatory to cleanse sins when jesus paid for are sins to be forgiven.because if we are in a place of torment for example because of our sins to then be freed after a appropriate time for those sins why carnt other sinner do the same instead of hell if all sins can be forgiven ect for blasphemy of the holy spirit and its seems like jesus sacrifice would be for nothing i thought for example that if i was worthy of a punishment on earth for a crime lets say a hundred lashing for example which the judge deemed the appropriate sentence but say jesus took the lashings for me and the debt was paid and i was set free by the judge even though i personally wasn’t punished purgatory seems like jesus took 50 lashings and i took the other 50

Yeah, this is not true. This is not biblical. Purgatory is nowhere to be found in the Bible. Neither the word or a description. During the dark ages, there was a lot of competition in Europe from the Catholic diocese to build the fanciest church. That took money which they didn’t have. So the Catholic Church created this theory of purgatory and by the way you could go to the church and pay the money and you get a letter indulgence, which then gave your spouse or whoever a ride to heaven. This was all a scam, financial scam and that’s why the Catholic Church is not selling these indulgence letters. Because they know if they did that that would come up as a scam. The truth is telling us that Jesus ran some sacrifice, wasn’t good enough to get people to heaven know they needed to pay the Catholic Church on earth to get all people to heaven, because this ransom sacrifice was not good enough how insulting to Jesus and his father. There is no purgatory plain and simple. Where are the scriptures? She can prove your theory shows the scriptures then

I believe in purgatory because everyone is spiritually dead before salvation. All of us are prayed over although we are dead men walking. And only by Grace Grace Alone we are saved. So yes we pray for the spiritually dead & may they find salvation.

I held a personal interpretation of purgatory even before I became a Catechist and this is my interpretation: Before the judge, a person is faced with three out comes of judgement and that is, 1. To be set free. 2. To be given a custodian sentence. and 3. To be sentenced to death. MEANING; To be set free is to go to Heaven. To be given a custodian sentence, is to go to purgatory and to be sentenced to death is to go to hell, how ever when one finishes a custodian sentence, he/she is set free, that is, comes home, so will the souls who go to purgatory, make it to Heaven after they have finished serving their term in purgatory.

It’s easy to believe and say that the holy ones go to heaven; the polluted and grevious sinners receive perpetual punishment, but those who are not completely bad receive, through the mercy of God and our prayers and intercession, Divine sanctification or purification before admission to Heaven. I died once when I was a soldier in 2001, in a way and for reasons that were as unclean as could be. I did not experience Purgatory, there were no Pearly Gates and no saint Peter to control access in front of them. There was blinding light emanating from everywhere, people who walked around dressed in light tropical colours, structure and the feeling there's a presence with awareness, intent, a sense of extreme responsibility and the greatest power behind it all. Judgment was made as soon as I got there without the need for any input from me, and whoever or whatever made the decision brooked no argument, did not explain and had no tolerance for my attempts to disobey.
