We are the 3rd fastest growing state in the US! I absolutely hate it! I have lived most of my life in rural American and don't want development taking away my world.

as a local, I can't afford to live here alone anymore, and that sucks but seeing all the land being taken away and built upon wreaks havoc on my heart my poor home, used to be so lush and vibrant, so full of life I used to roam the woods on my own in my backyard... I would see deer, beaver, raccoons, coyotes, even once upon a time, a mountain lion. now? Lucky if I get to see trees as I travel. My heart is broken.

we just lost a rezoning act that took away a family owned farm that was in are area for over 125 years for them to build less than 1000 unaffordable homes

Sickens me everyday. My grandmas small neighborhood is being taken over by town houses and single family homes plus a storage unit lot. I almost cry every time I go over there seeing all that change.

I live in Wilmington, and I used to cry almost every morning driving down 140, watching them tear down more and more trees. All of that wildlife has to go somewhere, and now we’re seeing the animals pushed into town because their habitats are disappearing. It’s truly heartbreaking and devastating to watch.

Seen it yrs ago NC Hwy 49 Between SC line and Carowinds Blvd used to be a two lane country drive! Now 5 lanes of pure congestion!
