It’s disturbing our police have zero interest in actual laws, citizen’s rights, the constitution, or the oath they took. Same behavior of cops and criminals, there’s no difference. No one is safe when either are around.

You are not a punching bag just because the person putting hands on you works for the government.
Police have lawful authority to detain, arrest, and use reasonable force.
They do not have unlimited authority.
If government force becomes unlawful or excessive, the badge does not magically make it lawful. The law can recognize reasonable, proportionate self-defense against unlawful force.
That does not mean revenge.
It does not mean fighting because you disagree with an arrest.
It means using no more force than reasonably necessary to stop unlawful force.
George Floyd did not have to be a saint to have constitutional rights.
Neither do you.
Graham v. Connor: police force must be objectively reasonable.
Barnes v. Felix: look at the totality of the circumstances, not merely the final split second.
The badge grants authority. It does not grant immunity from the law.
