@crystal.irish: 🗣️ That “fresh laundry” smell might not be so fresh after all! 😳 Store-bought dryer sheets work by leaving a waxy chemical film on your clothes. That film comes from quats, a group of chemicals also used in disinfectants, and they’ve been linked to asthma and skin irritation. Then there’s the “fragrance” in them, which can be a mix of undisclosed ingredients. Researchers at the University of Washington even tested the air coming out of dryer vents and found over 25 VOCs from scented laundry products, two of them carcinogens. 🙅🏼♀️ The good news? Swapping them out is SO easy, and homemade ones work just as well (if not better)🌿✨ 🌟 Here’s what you’ll need: 🧺 Fabric pieces & a container (or grab the kit from my video on my Amazon storefront in bio) 🧺 2 cups white distilled vinegar (a natural softener) 🧺 2–3 tbsp all-natural conditioner or DIY liquid softener (keeps static cling away! Recipe in my Laundry highlight) 🧺 Your favorite dōTERRA essential oils (I’m using lavender, peppermint & lemon) ✨ How to make them: Mix everything in your container, add your fabric pieces and let them soak it up, then toss 1–2 sheets in the dryer with your wet clothes. That’s it! Your laundry will smell amazing without the toxins. ✨ Links are in my bio Follow for more swaps @thedivinesoulshine 💛 #nontoxicliving #diydryersheets #nontoxichome #doterra #toxinfreeliving
