I wished my dad took he “tried” but wasn’t successful truth be told he was better off being gone instead of being in prison….. he had no reason to take my mom

I watched my Dad abuse my Mom for years. It molded me and I became a very mean and judgemental person. “I will never let a man hit me. She’s weak for not leaving him”. I later became a DV survivor. I don’t judge anyone, any more. I pray for all victims for the strength to leave.

if the person who called you was physically close enough to hear a commotion, why were they not able to call 911 themselves or give you the exact address so that emergency services and support could get there????? i’m so sorry that they sent you there to witness that.

I’m 33 years old growing up in middle school I had two different classmates who experienced this. 1 girl I went to school with daddy did the same & her grandma raised her & this boy daddy did the same. Hearing that at such a young age had always stuck with me. 🥺
