@pbsnews: Former President Barack Obama on Wednesday called out President Donald Trump for spending too much time focused on White House renovations rather than on issues that matter to voters. “I don't know if you've noticed, he's very focused on home renovations,” Obama said during a midterm election rally in Georgia. “He should have a show on HGTV.” Obama listed Trump’s plans to build a ballroom, repave the Rose Garden and place a helicopter pad on the South Lawn. “The president of the United States is spending time supergluing gold medallions to the mantle in the Oval Office,” Obama said. “He is literally doing arts and crafts while we are fighting a war and trying to deal with out-of-control prices.” Obama repeated a joke he made at a Saturday rally, saying Trump’s White House looked like “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.” He added that, rather than dispute his criticism about rising prices, corruption and his likeness to the former president of Iraq, Trump had been upset about his Cheesecake Factory comparison. “They don't have solutions to actual problems, so they'd rather have the media and you talking about the Cheesecake Factory,” Obama said. “That's the game they've been playing for the last two years. Just keep throwing distractions out there.” #pbsnews #pbsnewshour #newshour #news #trump #donaldtrump #trumpadministration #midterms #election #government #vote #obama
