🚨ARCHIE & ALFIE ARE STILL NOT SAFE. THIS IS MY LAST PLEA FOR HELP.🚨 💔 These ~4 month old boys are still trembling & not safe. They are past deadline. Archie & Alfie were born outside & missed out on the early socialization puppies need to learn that people are safe. They tremble, avoid eye contact, & are overwhelmed by being handled. They are NOT aggressive & can be rehabilitated. A cat rescue from the Northeast tried to courtesy tag them for a shady independent rescuer with plans to transport them to New York today. These puppies haven’t even received their initial shots yet & they are a flight risk. The shelter was uncomfortable releasing them under those circumstances. I don’t blame them. THEY CANNOT JUST BE PUT ON A TRANSPORT & EXPECTED TO COPE. These boys need a thoughtful, responsible placement plan that prioritizes their safety, medical care, & rehabilitation. They need reputable rescue backing & experienced, committed local DFW fosters who can work with them at their own pace. There are worse fates than euthanasia. These boys deserve better. Archie may also have signs of demodex mange, which is not contagious. Both boys need veterinary care & patient people willing to help them learn how to trust. THESE BROTHERS SHOULD BE PLACED SEPARATELY. Each needs the opportunity to develop confidence independently. A quiet home, predictable routine, gentle handling, & potentially a calm, confident adult dog could help them begin to feel secure. I know fearful puppies like Archie & Alfie are not easy placements. They require time, patience, & people who understand that progress may come in tiny steps, but they are BABIES and deserve a chance. I am making one last plea for these boys.
