@cspanofficial: President Trump said Thursday that people would have to "see what happens" when asked whether Republicans should refuse to seat Mary Peltola (D) if she wins the Alaska U.S. Senate race following reports of her campaign's alleged involvement in recruiting a spoiler candidate. "Well, you're going to have to see what happens," he told reporters before boarding Air Force One for a rally in South Carolina. "It's hard to believe that she could even be allowed to run. Frankly, I don't know how you could allow somebody like that to run. It's so unfair." The New York Times reported Wednesday that members of Ms. Peltola's campaign were involved in efforts to recruit another "Dan Sullivan" to enter the race in hopes of drawing votes away from her Republican opponent, incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK). Her campaign has denied involvement.
