I don’t think this means that they’re so productive with ai that they can get rid of all these people. the offer isn’t very targeted, for example, and there are multiple roles that are ineligible. I think they are more likely making a trade knowing that their investment in the AI buildout is huge and they’ve been piling on new workers like crazy lately, so now they can shed some of those to give their other investments more runway with lower overhead
