I live by gage and western and it’s so messy & scary there. I’m paranoid that the homeless might jump my back gate. I have small children so I hope this area keeps clean.

Lived in South Central the majority of my life. I drive along Gage Ave frequently. Once the pandemic ended LA City Street services has cleaned up this area at least every 6-8 weeks . In days slowly the homeless come back. I even witnessed workers talking to the homeless offering assistance. Definitely mental illness and substance abuse. They can’t force them to accept assistance. It is a vicious cycle.
