@cbssacramento: A former officer at the now-closed Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin has become the 10th former prison employee convicted in connection with the facility’s sexual abuse scandal, federal prosecutors said. David Perez pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two inmates and making false statements to federal investigators, with sentencing scheduled for March 25, 2027. Perez faces up to 15 years in prison for sexual abuse of a ward, additional prison time for abusive sexual contact and up to eight years for making false statements. FCI Dublin was closed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2024.
