and whole time the quality of the hair that they get is literally almost like straw or hay, but of when a black woman has a weave. It’s horse hair plastic hair, but we get very high-quality bundles even if it isn’t human hair it’s still a high-quality bundle, but they get like doll hair.

I remember going to my friend's house in high-school & she was getting "hair pieces" put in & she was so embarrassed because everybody thought it was her hair including myself & she made me promise not to tell.I didn't understand at the time why she was so embarrassed, because my Mama kept me & my sister at the hair shop getting our hair done! This is actually my 1st time even saying anything & this was in 1998 🤣

I posted a video of me showing the natural protective styles I wore to work so I retain length. There were women in my comment section dragging me because I didn’t incorporate using hair gel on my edges. SMH 🤦🏾♀️I had a woman tell me that I didn’t “try” because I chose to embrace my natural hair texture in my everyday life. What kind of life is this?! 😭
