Ça a suffi. ------- Last night, after leaving a Day Party at Times Super Club during the Grand Prix weekend, police presence was heavy. The Eclipse unit was doing ID checks outside the club — and surprise, they were mostly targeting Black partygoers. As we walked toward our vehicle — a Lamborghini Urus parked by the valet — the second the driver touched the door handle, multiple officers sprinted toward us. They hadn’t seen the license plate, didn’t ask anything — just saw three Black men walking toward a luxury car. That was enough to trigger them. We get in, drive barely 200 meters, and boom — flashing lights. We pull over. They say, “Your windows are a bit too tinted, and you’re driving with an X plate. Do you have documentation?” The driver calmly explains that he’s had his company for 15 years — everything is legal and registered. So they stop him… for tinted windows? Then the officer starts asking questions to the passengers in the back. The passengers respectfully say they don’t want to answer. That clearly irritated him. Next thing you know, they come back saying: “You’re not working right now, and that X plate is only for business. So we’re towing the vehicle. Hand over the keys.” Meanwhile, over 50 modded cars were revving and cruising down the block. But the Black guys in the Lambo? That’s the threat. They towed the car. No crime. No reason. Just profiling. And on top of that, a $300 Uber ride to get back to Sainte-Thérèse from downtown. Welcome to Montreal, 2025. Still stuck in the past. #MontrealGrandPrix #GrandPrixWeekend #SPVM #GroupeEclipse #Montreal
