He would constantly say “so you need me to meet your needs before mine?” And I would always meet it with “not my needs, ours, needs that a healthy relationship HAS to have to be healthy” and I would always be met with the look of a deer in headlights. It’s wild to experience someone like this in real life. They will literally have you standing outside the hospital about to check yourself into the psychiatric unit.
