WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones is a retro, Final Fantasy-style turn-based RPG heading to Steam, developed by indie studio 81monkeys. You play as Wendy, the chain’s red-haired mascot, who has to save the kingdom of Savoria from an organisation called Mech Corp by collecting four magical stones. Along the way you recruit companions like the French Fry Archer, the Spicy Chickeneer and the Frosty Mage, and battle food-themed enemies. Several of them are clear shots at McDonald’s, including the Golden Archers and Hot Sludge Sundaes. The Steam page says players can “earn real food as you play,” though there are no details yet on how that works.
