I could’ve done a better job, recognizing your feelings, acknowledging your experiences, nurturing you and making you feel seen. I’m sorry, I know I can’t change the past, but I’d love the opportunity to build a better relationship with you.” You can’t undo the past, but you can’t take responsibility for your part in it.
