As an ER nurse, you are very correct! I’ve seen it happen time and time again. I once heard a doctor said a black patient was faking meanwhile the patient was in DKA I advocated for that black patient and even cried because I couldn’t believe I was actually witnessing this in front my own eyes!!!

Aww sis that so unfortunate that happened to you. That doctor needs to be reevaluated, that shouldn’t have happened, so unprofessional. This is why I want to push through and continue to pursue health care, not just for me and ofc women but importantly people that look like us. You deserve better boo 🩷
