John 17:3 says:
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
Even the Gospel of John makes a clear distinction between the one true God and Jesus Christ, whom God sent. Jesus is described as the one sent by God, and this verse invites us to reflect on the oneness of God and the mission of Jesus.
If someone commits sins but sincerely repents and turns back to God during their lifetime, God is able to forgive them and give them a new beginning, as if they were starting their lives anew. Why, then, should a person be held responsible for a sin they did not commit?
Every human being should be accountable for their own actions. Your sins are yours to answer for, just as my sins are mine. Why should we carry the guilt of Adam’s sin when we did not commit it ourselves?
True repentance means turning away from sin, seeking God’s forgiveness, and striving to live a righteous life. God’s mercy and forgiveness offer hope to everyone who sincerely returns to Him.
The central question is this: If God is the Most Merciful and forgives those who sincerely repent, why should anyone bear the guilt of another person’s sin? Should we not each be accountable for our own deeds before God?
