@melanierrenee: moral of the story: say yes before you feel ready!! Two weeks ago, I was still traveling around Asia when I got tagged in an IG story which said I got invited to a founder’s event in NYC. And NYC was on my bingo card so I was like heck yes why not!! But as the date got closer, I started to get more nervous. I’m not a founder, what if I don’t vibe with anyone… all these thoughts and doubts kept coming up. And I seriously thought about not showing up the day of even though that’s the whole reason why I spent 8 hours on a plane lol crazy what the mind will do to you! Fast forward to the event, let me just say that I had the best time ever. Like seeing all the work being put into it, getting to meet the most amazing girl bosses, and the positive energy in the room just made me think, “wow, I’m so glad I came.” I met so many ambitious women that made me leave feeling soo inspired. So this is your sign to say yes to doing the scary thing!! The only thing you’ll regret is not having tried! You really never know what saying yes to opportunities can lead you. 🫶 #foundersevent #mindset
