Despite this being a huge part of the issue at hand, the rat proof bins will cause the rats to look elsewhere - aka in your home - for food and shelter. Need to control the population in other ways as well as the rat proof bins.

Also like to point out how about the thousands of nys that survive bottle picking through that same trash yes they go through recycle but their money comes from regular trash ppl with enough sense to recycle actually go get their bottle deposits too
