@thedizzycook: Migraine Attack Cinnamon Milk - A blend of warm milk and cinnamon for a cozy anti-inflammatory drink. Recipe linked in profile or Google “dizzy cook cinnamon milk”. When we think of migraine relief ingredients, ginger gets all the credit, maybe turmeric. But cinnamon has actually had some promising initial research no one really talks about. In a small clinical trial, cinnamon powder capsules significantly decreased the frequency, severity and duration of migraine attacks compared to placebo. The research focuses on cinnamaldehyde, a compound that gives cinnamon its warm and fragrant scent, which has potentially neuroprotective benefits as well as anti-inflammatory benefits. I’ve also had a lot of people tell me they find warm drinks more helpful than cold - which surprises me! But migraine can be incredibly personal and it’s hard to know exactly what will help sometimes. Either way, this drink was amazing for me when I was pregnant and extremely sensitive to coffee and caffeine. I found it very calming and relaxing. Could even be used before bed! You can also use whatever milk you like - although some froth better than others. Enjoy. 💜
