@voicesofthe6ix: Ethics Commissioner Konrad von Finckenstein (his term runs to 2031) told the Ethics Committee on Oct. 28 that he is satisfied with PM Carney's blind trust and conflict screen. He also said that checking how the screen works day to day is not his job. His last answer was given in French; those subtitles follow the official English interpretation. My take: "Trust the system" isn't oversight. Someone independent should check the screen, and should report publicly how often the PM recuses himself.
