@sober.rescue.repeat: 😡 Are you kidding me right now? Deadline November 2 2 weeks ago, you walked into the shelter, picked me out, and took me home. I did everything you asked for. I was friendly, playful, and affectionate. I loved playing tug-of-war, fetching balls, going on walks, and hanging out with your other big dog. I was house-trained, knew how to sit, and loved my chew toys. Then all of a sudden, “someone’s pregnant”, and suddenly there’s “no room” for an 89lb dog you just committed to? So you marched me right back to the very place you saved me from. Now I’m back in a loud, terrifying concrete box. Yeah, I’m stressed out. Yeah, I don't want to walk back into a kennel cell after being out in the yard - can you really blame me? I'm not mean; I'm just a big, heartbroken boy who is confused, scared, and desperate for someone who actually keeps their promises. Where I Shine ✨ Totally house-trained (I like to save it for walks!), potty-trained, and great inside the home. ✨ I'm a total lovebug with adults and kids alike - soft, wiggly, gentle with treats, and always seeking attention or leaning in for pets. ✨ I lived with another large dog for 2 weeks and we were super playful and friendly together. ✨ I walk like a dream on leash with zero pulling when I'm relaxed, love car rides, and live for games of tug-of-war, balls, and playing in the water pool. Where I Struggle: • Being back in a cage has devastated me. Once I'm out in the yard, I get extremely anxious and resist going back into a kennel cell (I'll plant my feet and dig in because I don't want to be locked up again). • In the loud shelter environment, I can get overwhelmed when returned to confinement, requiring extra patience, coaxing, or a calm transition to get me inside. • I need a patient home that will work with me slowly on crate/confinement training, as I get frustrated and anxious when locked away. I need a real, committed foster who won't give up on me when life shifts. I need someone patient who can give me a quiet home, work with my kennel anxiety, and let me be the big, loving couch potato I actually am.
