#SouthKorean universities have rejected 45 students because of their past bullying records, including some with excellent exam results, sending a powerful message that good grades don't erase bad behaviour! 🇰🇷🎓❤️ The remarkable decision has attracted attention around the world after six major South Korean universities revealed that dozens of applicants had been denied admission because of disciplinary records from their school years. And some of the details are particularly surprising! Among those rejected were two applicants to the prestigious Seoul National University who had achieved excellent scores on South Korea's notoriously difficult university entrance examination. Despite their strong academic performance, their previous behaviour was taken into consideration, ultimately preventing them from securing places. But this isn't just happening at one university! Kyungpook National University rejected 22 applicants, while Pusan National University rejected another eight, with 13 more turned away by three other institutions. And South Korea is now taking the issue even further! Beginning with the 2026 admissions cycle, #universities across the country are required to consider documented school #bullying records when assessing applicants. The policy reflects growing concerns about bullying and its lasting impact on young people's lives. Supporters believe the changes send an important message that academic success shouldn't automatically outweigh how someone has treated others. However, critics have raised questions about whether mistakes made during adolescence should continue affecting someone's opportunities years later. The debate has sparked an important conversation about accountability, second chances and the responsibilities students have towards one another. It's a powerful reminder that education isn't just about achieving excellent grades. How we treat other people matters too! ❤️
