100%, G3 is just better to me because of how many backstories they retconed to be inclusive showing their audience that they're paying more attention and giving more care to the community that built it, I could go on and on

I love both g1 and g3, g3 made me love dolls and collecting again. G3 helped me see myself in characters outside of headcanons, never in a kids show would I thought to see nonbinary character an autistic character and aromantic representation. G3 is not perfect, lord no I had a list of problems but it’s barely a fraction of what I love about g3

With the newer dolls, back when they first came out, G3 dolls, I did not care about the body type. I did not care much about the face molds or how the bodies were made because I'm not a collector. I just don't like their outfits. Their clothes aren't as eccentric and fun. They're kind of just boring to me.

When the G3 dolls first came out I didn't really like them, but as they kept coming out they kind of just found a groove and now they look amazing, I wish I had space and money for all of them!!!

now I come up with G1, so I tend to stick into that vain. that being said, when the limited edition pride pack became available online, was I there first thing to pick it up? ABSOLUTELY. I'm not here to try to yak anybody's yum. monster High supposed to be fought. doll collecting is supposed to be fun. (I just put in for the limited edition Nancy Bratz doll from The Craft..... my first Bratz doll ever)

I collect strictly G1 and Skullectors. I'm not going to sit here and say G3 isn't cute and low-key got that shit ON. But they keep forgetting that G3 isn't technically for us, speaking as a 21 year old who grew up with the old monster high. It's for the new generation. And let's be honest, some of the old monster high is a bit problematic and even racist. They revamped it, they've become inclusive and they grew. The racism, body shaming, etc is INSANE

I love g3 and I think a lot of people really hated the fashion when it came out and sort of tried to nitpick everything else to excuse their hatred and it just turned into fatphobia and bigotry.. Also I think people forget that its mostly for kids, the skullectors are for us who grew up on monster high
