my mom had me drive my little brother to his first therapy app only for me to find out in the car that he had no clue where he was going or what he was supposed to talk about. The concept of a surprise therapy appointment is wild to me. also not sure how thats supposed to be effective

Also, don’t send your kids to therapy if you’re not also willing to go to therapy and work on yourself and what is contributing to your child being in therapy

We are all in therapy over here and my kids know that is their safe place

Yep. I used to see minors but the parents absolutely exhausted me. I would educate parents that I was not a babysitter and propping your kid in front of me to fix was unreasonable. Kids have to opt in too. They deserve autonomy.

ok but some kids need forced into therapy. My friends daughter is low key a psychopath. shes crazy. her mom wanted to send her to therapy cause they've been through alot and the way the kid is acting seems like a lash out. This kid said if she sent her to therapy she would lie and get her in trouble 😬
