My brother just celebrated his 8 month heart transplant anniversary on his 17th birthday! He was also born with HLHS. It was definitely nerve wracking for a while but he’s doing great now. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible and she has a speedy recovery!!!♥️

I remember being excited, blessed, terrified and utterly sad all at the same time when I had my transplant. My doctors and nurses came and prayed for me and with me. It was surreal.

these always get me very emotional. do everything your team says. be careful of germs. tske your meds on time. I ran and crushed a half marathon at age 54 Oct 2022. 9 months later end stage heart failure (AL Amyloidosis, a rare disease). a year and 11 days after that half marathon, i got my gift. here's me after finishing my 2nd half marathon post HEART TRANSPLANT (heart txp 10/13/23).

I can’t think of a moment in the world that would be filled with this many emotions ranging from each end of the spectrum. From happiness beyond words to fear that almost paralyzes you and of course a type of sadness that has a physical weight to it. It’s beautiful honestly!
