FUEL INJECTION VALVE TEST PROCEDURE 1. PRE-TESTING PREPARATION Before carrying out any of the tests, the fuel valve must be completely filled with clean test oil. 1. Connect the fuel valve correctly to the test bench. 2. Connect the vent hose to the fuel valve venting hole. The vent hose must be connected for: * Venting function test * Opening pressure test * Leak test 3. Set selector switch ⑤ to RESET. 4. Close Pressure Release Valve ② by turning it clockwise. 5. Slowly turn Pressure Control Valve ③ clockwise. 6. Observe Working Pressure Display ⑧. 7. Continue filling the valve with test oil. 8. Watch the vent hose. 9. When clear test oil without air bubbles comes continuously from the venting hole through the vent hose, the valve is considered completely filled. 10. Turn Pressure Control Valve ③ counter-clockwise to stop the pressure supply. 11. Open Pressure Release Valve ② counter-clockwise and release the pressure. The purpose of this preparation is to remove all air from the fuel valve and test circuit before measuring pressure. 2. TEST A — VENTING FUNCTION This test checks the venting function of the fuel valve/test arrangement and determines the venting pressure. 1. Set selector switch ⑤ to RESET. 2. Close Pressure Release Valve ②. 3. Turn selector switch ⑤ to VENTING PRESSURE. 4. Slowly adjust Pressure Control Valve ③ clockwise. 5. Allow the system to build pressure until the air pump automatically stops at approximately 160 bar working pressure. 6. Observe Working Pressure Display ⑧. 7. The working pressure will gradually decrease. 8. When the internal leakage slide valve opens, the corresponding venting pressure will appear on Opening/Venting Pressure Display ⑦. 9. Record the displayed venting pressure. 10. Turn Pressure Control Valve ③ counter-clockwise to shut off the pressure supply. 11. Open Pressure Release Valve ② counter-clockwise. 12. Fully release the pressure before proceeding. 3. TEST B — OPENING PRESSURE This is the main test for determining the fuel valve opening pressure. 1. Set selector switch ⑤ to RESET. 2. Close Pressure Release Valve ②. 3. Turn selector switch ⑤ to OPENING PRESSURE. 4. Slowly adjust Pressure Control Valve ③ until Working Pressure Display ⑧ indicates approximately 150 bar. 5. Press and hold/operate Full Stroke Push Button ① as required by the bench. 6. Gradually increase the pressure using Pressure Control Valve ③. 7. Watch Opening/Venting Pressure Display ⑦. 8. When the fuel valve opens, the opening pressure is indicated on display ⑦. 9. Record the opening pressure. 10. The pump will stop automatically when the opening pressure is reached. 11. Turn Pressure Control Valve ③ counter-clockwise. 12. Open Pressure Release Valve ② counter-clockwise. 13. Release the pressure completely. 4. TEST C — LEAK TEST The leak test is performed using the opening-pressure value obtained during Test B. 1. Set selector switch ⑤ to RESET. 2. Close Pressure Release Valve ②. 3. Turn selector switch ⑤ to OPENING PRESSURE. 4. Slowly adjust Pressure Control Valve ③ until Working Pressure Display ⑧ reaches approximately 150 bar. 5. Press Full Stroke Push Button ①. 6. Slowly adjust Pressure Control Valve ③. 7. Reduce the working pressure until display ⑧ is approximately 10–20 bar below the opening pressure measured in Test B. 8. Stop adjusting the pressure. 9. Turn Pressure Control Valve ③ counter-clockwise to shut off the pressure supply. 10. Observe the fuel valve for leakage according to the applicable inspection criterion. 11.
