@oliver_foranimals: Earlier this week I joined around 30 activists outside ABP Guildford slaughterhouse. Our presence caused the slaughterhouse to stop trucks from going in, and this meant we didn't get to see any animals in their final moments. Every time a van or lorry entered the slaughterhouse, the gate was immediately shut by security. If everything inside there is so 'humane', why don't they want us to see? And why do these places have so much security? What are they hiding from us? These businesses are built on lies and as soon as we expose them, they crumble. They tell you that animals come from 'high welfare' farms and are killed in a 'humane' way, when in reality, there is no humane way to kill an animal who doesn't want to die. The most humane slaughterhouse is a closed one. A demolished one. The reason they stopped the trucks from coming is because they know that when we film the animals and share the footage online, good people look into the victim's eyes and feel compelled to change. When people go vegan, people that profit from the exploitation and abuse of animals lose money. They know that what they're doing is wrong and they don't want anyone to see. When we apply pressure to these industries, they feel it. We are in control, and we will take them down.
