As a busser, I don’t mind napkins in cups. I can just use a fork to scoop them out, and it stops napkins from flying everywhere when I’m picking up plates

Honestly, unpopular opinion, but when I served/bartended, I didn’t mind when people did this. I’d rather fish the napkin out with a fork than whole handedly grab a booger tissue or dirty napkin. I’m weird I guess. lol

my mother used to cram napkins into a glass. I would take it from her and fish them back out. she insisted thats how she was trained in the 70s. I told her that a) no, whe wasn't, and b) it's 2006.
