@cinemaoccupy: Patrick Stewart, who died on October 28 at 86, thought it was an absurd notion to cast a middle-aged bald English classical actor in a science fiction series. He had never seen the original Star Trek and auditioned four times. When the six-year contract came up, his Hollywood agent told him not to worry: the series was not going to work, he would be lucky to make it through the first season, so he should make a bit of money for the first time in his life, get a suntan and go home. Seven years and 178 episodes later, Star Trek: The Next Generation wrapped. Follow @cinemaoccupy for more. #PatrickStewart #StarTrek #TheNextGeneration #JeanLucPicard #RIP
