@japdmedia26: MICHIGAN, USA — A grocery-store worker and father of four has received an outpouring of online support after a viral video showed social media pranksters pretending to take $10 from him. The employee, publicly identified as Walt Z, was stocking Red Baron pizzas when one of the pranksters asked him for the time. As Walt checked his phone, the prankster played a fake Apple Pay sound and claimed he had taken money. “I just took $10,” the prankster said. Walt explained that he was already working past his scheduled shift, had children waiting at home, and faced another early start the next morning. “I can’t even pay my goddamn mortgage! And I got four kids at home! So not funny!” he said. The pranksters called the encounter a joke, but Walt told them to leave. The video drew widespread criticism, and the original Instagram account was reportedly taken down. A GoFundMe campaign organized by Luke Oakenshield subsequently raised more than $250,000, according to reports published October 29. Oakenshield said Walt had been located and was grateful for the support, while his family requested privacy. Schwan’s Company, the parent company of Red Baron, confirmed it was aware of the August incident and had checked on Walt’s well-being. The company said he was doing well and remained a valued member of its team. The incident has reignited debate about online pranks that turn working people into content without their consent. #WaltZ #LukeOakenshield #Michigan #USA #japd
