@kristenbarbar: “He told me that he loves me and that he has to turn himself in.” A 12-year-old girl took the stand Thursday in the murder trial of Robert Kessler, the man she considered her father. She was just 7 years old when Kessler was arrested in 2021, accused of killing and dismembering 47-year-old Stephanie Crone-Overholts, who had been staying at their home in Lutz. The girl testified about the last day she saw Crone-Overholts, recalling hearing yelling inside the house, noticing a strange smell the next morning and watching Kessler remove furniture from the room where Crone-Overholts had been staying.
