@jeff63434: On this day in 1977, Dolly Parton released Here You Come Again, her 19th solo studio album. It was the record that opened the door to pop radio for her. The title song, written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, became her first real crossover hit and won her a Grammy. Country fans already loved her. Now everyone else was singing along too, and she never lost the first group while gaining the second. The cover did something small that stuck around. It was the first to carry the “Dolly” signature logo, designed by Michael Manoogian. That handwritten name ended up on every solo album she made for RCA after it. A new sound, a new audience, and a signature that looks like her. Not bad for one record
