I had a patient call for a refill on her birth control but hadn’t been in the clinic since 2021. I informed her she’d have to come in for an appointment otherwise we wouldn’t be filling her medication anymore. She told me how ridiculous that was JUST for birth control. Then threatened to call the doctor directly cause according to her they’re personal friends. I said okay go ahead and call him then, HE’LL text me if he wants me to fill it or not. She hung up. Days later she calls and schedules the appointment. The day of the appointment I fill the Dr. in on everything she said and how she claimed to have his number and he his friend. He said “she don’t have my damn number” I loved that. When I called her in to vital her, she greeted the doctor by his first name, gave him a hug to which he kept his arms down by his sides, looked over at me and mouthed “what the f***” she then turns to me and goes “see I told ya we were friends” and he just laughed sarcastically. Made her feel so dumb 😂😂

It got to the point where I don’t even use my customer service face and just straight up say “Unfortunately I can’t force my doctors to talk to you but I will let them know you want to so this is where this conversation will have to end. If there’s anything else you need I can forward an email to my office manager”
