@hamila.app: Looking for a rare Muslim baby girl name? You might want to save Lubabah in Hamila Pregnancy Tracker 🤍 Okay but Lubabah (لُبَابَة) 🥹 Such a soft, pretty name and the woman behind it makes it even more special. Lubabah bint al-Harith رضي الله عنها, also known as Umm al-Fadl, was one of the women who accepted Islam in its early days. She was the sister of Maymunah رضي الله عنها, a wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and she went on to raise Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما, who became one of the most knowledgeable and beloved scholars among the Companions. Just imagine carrying your little girl, choosing her name, and knowing she shares it with a woman who lived around the Prophet ﷺ and raised a son who would leave such a huge mark on Islam 🥹 And the meaning makes it even prettier. Lubabah is connected to the idea of the essence or the finest, most precious part of something.
