Both my sisters kids have had to be rescued from our moms pool by myself and my husband. 2 separate times a couple of weeks apart. This was MONTHS ago and to this day I still have a hematoma on my ass from where I jumped in and clipped the side in a panic trying to save him. Did she put a life jacket on? No. Did she start paying attention when we’re out there? For the next 10 minutes and then never again. When I’m outside at my moms house, my eyes do not ever leave my kids or hers (because she doesn’t pay attention herself) and the one time I looked away for literally 2 seconds to grab something next to me, her son had fallen in.

My husband was doing that with his addiction, didn’t care what it was doing to our kids and me, and he finally asked me for help. Sent him to 30 days rehab last weekend.

GIVING THEM AN E-BIKE! Pedal bikes are limited to how fast the kid can get them to go, and you can usually stop your car in time if they end up in the road. These new bikes have kids flying out into the street so fast that you can hardly react. Plus, why not give your child a way to exercise instead of a lithium explosion waiting to happen?

Listen, I live in Florida an hour away from the beach. My kids are grown, and even when they would go to the beach with their friends now this is after they’re 18 years of age have their own vehicles have their own jobs. Their own lives. I still am a nervous wreck when they go to the lake the river, the pool, the spring I am a nervous wreck, constantly checking their location constantly calling texting. Are you alive? Kids and water scared the shit out of me even with doing swim lessons and going over the rules and having 10 sets of eyeballs on them I’m still a nervous wreck because it only takes a second in the beach. Let’s not even talk about that bitch. We are going no further than ankle deep and I will be hanging onto you.

This woman zipped past my house on an e-scooter with a literal toddler standing on it. No helmets, nothing. She was too fast for me to try and stop... I was absolutely appalled. This was months ago and I think about it often.

You know what, heck yeah! I agree with all of this! Especially the last one! We all know who you’re referring to👀 I saw a comment under one video about said user that said for the first year after her DOG died, both her and her husband couldn’t even think about being intimate because they were so deep in grief. I’ll just leave that here.

I don’t understand how it’s not the law to have fences for pools in the US. Where I am in Oz it’s insaneinspected, they even fly over houses in helicopters once a year to make sure there are fences and fuck me if you don’t have one, you’re toast.
