The main reason for the new stadium, other than replacing an aging San Siro, is to generate more revenue. All stadiums in Serie A (with the exception of handful newly built ones like Juventus’) were built and owned by Italian councils with teams basically renting them from the local councils. This means that income and revenues generated by the stadiums are split with the councils - in the case of Inter and Milan, it’s ultimately split even further between the clubs and councils - meaning clubs don’t make an awful lot on match days. This is why Juventus had superior spending power for a little while that brought in the likes of Ronaldo and Vlahovic - all match day revenue was 100% theirs.

Why do they always have to build a new stadium all these clubs? And they all look the same too. What a suprise another bowl… just like Arsenal, spurs, all the other clubs
