I used to have an Air BNB, and my check out rules were pretty minimal. How, I did ask people to tie the garbage and compost bags (not even take them out, just tie them). Because people are gross and I just don't want to know.

One time we rented an Airbnb during Christmas with my family and it was in the middle of the mountains and temperatures outside where 0 degrees Celsius and when we arrived to the house the heating was not working and we light the fireplace and we spent the entire first night with jackets on even sleeping. During those days we kept the fireplace on 24 hours and we had these little heaters in the rooms that heat nothing. After hour stay the owner asked for us to pay to clean the walls of the chimney because she said they were all black like GURL IS A FUCKING FIREPLACE

the biggest complaint from them is "the laundry takes hours to do!" ok so have 2 sets of linens? bring the clean ones, was the dirty off site, repeat.

Against my better judgment I did a deep dive on Airbnb Hosts' FB groups 😂 They call us TENANTS not CUSTOMERS. They think they're in the REAL ESTATE business. Can someone tell them this is HOSPITALITY?

When we were in Italy, there was four of us staying in the Airbnb. The owner knew we were all there because we put four people on the rental. We were there for five days and there were literally four towels and one roll of toilet paper. I sent him a message and just let him know that there was not enough towels or toilet paper and he advised me to reuse the towels and use the bidet. 😭😭 he also told me that the air-conditioning has to be turned off when we leave. It was 45° outside and the place took hours to cool down. It was also in an old upper floor Florence apartment so we were roasting anyways we went out for an hour and left the air-conditioning on and when we got back the place was barely cool enough to sleep. They wanted us to take our garbage with us when we left but we had nowhere to take the garbage??? We left everything sorted by the door at checkout. The host gave me a review and said that I must learn to respect the house rules etc… NEVER AGAIN

Once had an additional cleaning fee tacked on because we didn’t Hose down the back patio. it was raining the whole time. Also, we didn’t use the back patio because rain.
