It took us months to find a home for our first foster. She was a small black mix with tan markings like a dobe. We named her Shaylee. When a family finally came to meet her, their last name was Lee. They only changed her name to Shay, so she was always Shay Lee. I just got an email last year from her adopter who tracked me down to tell me that she had passed at 16! She lived a long and happy life as a beloved member of the Lee family ♥️Sometimes the right home is well worth the wait. I hope Missy finds hers.

i feel like the videos of adoptable pets in safe home environments do not get as much traction. i had a kitten posted here for 9 months with no interest. people kept commenting that she was happy and had a home. i debated posting sad videos of her in a cage. i ended up finding her home by verbally asking strangers in public if they wanted a kitten. tiktok did absolutely nothing to get her adopted.

This is Otto. Who we ended up adopting because he would’ve been euthanized due to a incorrect label of “aggressive” by a person who had no business saying that. The rescue told us it was us or nothing. We had previously fostered him for months but due to moving had to give him up. We then moved again and were able to take him. He’s reactive to other male dogs not aggressive. And now happily lives with my other two male dogs. My female dog. Loves kids and his kitty cat. The most gentle dog. He just needed a chance. I pray yours find their forever home!
