So when the bank gets a client deceased notification they will restrict accounts owned by the deceased. If your mom was associated with the account, like receiving duplicate statements, but not like a joint owner it should get flagged, but it will say restriction not applicable. They could’ve accidentally restricted. If you have the same name I’ve seen that get screwed up too.
