Real Madrid and City had the toughest and identical match ups for the league phase. Three draws in their first 3 games considering the opponents isn’t a bad result.

Do the maths! they are undefeated having taken points off two Pot 1 teams and a pot 2 team. Now they have a game against another pot 2 team and finally two games against fellow pot 3 teams. Given City entered the tournament in Pot 3, they deserve flowers for going undefeated against Bayern, Real and PSG. If they beat Inter as well as winning the other two games then they are likely to be in contention for 4th place, given that so many other midtable teams still have to play each other so will be dropping points, whereas City will now be odds on to start picking up wins even if they draw against in form inter, as long as they get comfortable wins against Häcken and Austria Wein (which is to be expected), then they should qualify for the play off round as a seeded club.
